Exciting weeks in the metaverse aren’t a surprise anymore. With so much hype surrounding utility, art, and more, it only makes sense that big stories are breaking almost daily. This week, Mastercard dropped a Web3 Music Accelerator, Cannon announced the coming launch of a new NFT platform, and Adidas dropped the first chapter of ALTS. Here’s the scoop:

Mastercard Drops Web3 Music Accelerator

Mastercard is giving away free NFTs. You read that right. At NFT.NYC, Mastercard announced that it’s launching free NFTs to help Web3 musicians boost their careers.

The NFTs are known as the Mastercard Music Pass.

As mentioned above, these NFTs are free to mint. Mastercard worked with Polygon to launch the collection.

So, what is Mastercard Music Pass?

It’s a collection of NFTs that give artists full access to Mastercard’s Artist Accelerator Program. So, once you own a Mastercard Music Pass, you’ll get access to AI technology and educational tools to help you further your music career. The NFTs also come with access to advise from Web3 mentors.

You’ll only be able to get the Mastercard Music Pass NFTs for free until the end of April. Act quickly. That’s only about two weeks away!

Cannon’s Marketplace Is Coming Soon

Cannon also made a splash this week with it’s announcement that it will be launching Cadabra later this year. Cadabra will be Cannon’s photography-centric NFT marketplace.

According to the announcement, Cadabra will give photographers a way to sell their pictures as NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Customers can buy the images digitally, or as prints, which Cannon will fulfill.

Cannon didn’t mention which photographers will take part in the launch of its marketplace, but the company did say it will feature initial drops and provide a secondary marketplace for collectors.

Adidas Drops the First Chapter of ALTS

Last, but definitely not least, Adidas announced the launch of its first chapter of its ALTS dynamic NFT collection. The collection, will offer a wide range of utilities, including a stake in the ALTS by Adidas ecosystem, some IP rights to their characters, and access to exclusive virtual wearables.

The collection is becoming popular quickly too. At the moment, the ALTS by Adidas collection has a floor price of 0.59 ETH and has done 320 ETH in trading volume. That works out to about $1,100 and $613,000, respectively.
