Jenkins the Valet is one of the most popular projects in the NFT space. Starting as a Bored Ape with a relatively insignificant back story, Jenkins the Valet was a valet worker at the Bored Ape Yacht Club. According to his back story, he dreamed of being part of the club, but as a degenerate, only held a position parking cars at the door.
However, the owner of the Jenkins NFT has shifted things quite a bit. In fact, he’s created an entire brand out of the name, and now, that brand is growing by leaps and bounds.
Jenkins the Valet Project Hires Neil Strauss
For some time now, we’ve been watching as the Jenkins the Valet story unfolds. The project got its first big touch of fame when the Creative Artists Agency, or CAA, signed onto the project to lift its awareness. See the tweet below:
News from the Valet Stand:
Jenkins the Valet is proud to be represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) across Books, Film, TV, Podcast, and more.
CAA is a leader in global talent representation and this service Ape is ready to tell his stories on a larger stage.

However, yesterday, an announcement was made that takes the project to the next level. Neil Strauss. Strauss is also known in the writing community by pen names like Style and Chris Powles, and his books have been read far and wide. Strauss is a New York Times best selling author and has been featured on major media like The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stones, and CNN. Now, he’s going to be a major part of the first Jenkins the Valet book.
Here’s Strauss talking about how excited he is to be part of the project:

As alluded to in the video above, Strauss isn’t going to be the only writer of the first book out of the Jenkins the Valet franchise. In fact, for some time now, the project has invited followers to submit their thoughts as to how the story should go. The entire community seems to be taking part.
With all of the ideas from the community, Strauss will be charged with wading through the waters and bringing the story to life. To the best of my knowledge, this will be the first book Strauss has worked on, or the world has seen, that’s a culmination of the ideas readers have come up with. A community project if you will.
Open Source Creates the Best Results
As an internet entrepreneur, programmer, and author, I’ve come across several open source projects in the past. Granted the projects I’ve seen have had to do with new software and other internet-based technologies that the community got behind to build.
In my experience, these are some of the best projects online, resulting in some of the most powerful tools you can use as a developer, reporter, or any other person that makes their living online.
Now, with Jenkins the Valet being a largely open source project, it’s the first book that the community will have a major hand in writing. Now, don’t get me wrong, the community just getting together and adding chapter after chapter would likely lead to a fragmented story that’s nearly impossible to follow. However, with Neil Strauss at the helm, bringing the creative ideas from the community into context, the book is likely to be an exciting read.
When Will the Jenkins the Valet Book Drop
This is the million-dollar question. The fact is that the Jenkins the Valet project is moving quickly. It seems like just yesterday when the project announced that it would be represented by CAA and would be launching a book of its own. Now, Strauss is at the helm, working on bringing that book to reality.
Things are happening quickly, there’s no question, but it takes time to write a book.
Keep in mind, I have no inside knowledge of the project’s timeline. With that said, I’m making a wild prediction for the sake of making a prediction. I believe that sometime within the next three to six months, we will hear an announcement that the book is complete, or nearing completion, and start seeing teasers from between the covers. Nonetheless, that’s just my prediction… Let’s see how good I am at telling the future.
The Bottom Line
The bottom line here is simple, the Jenkins the Valet project isn’t just moving along swimmingly, it’s flying through the MetaVerse, and doing so with a figurative superhero in the wordsmithing game. As the project continues to move along, it’s likely to maintain its position as a big hit in the NFT space, and the book produced by the project is setting up to be a major hit.
